Dear Friends and Family,

Another year has gone by and so it's time for our annual Christmas letter. We hope you don't mind that we're "going digital" this year.

Of course, the best thing that happened to us this year was that we now have a new addition to the Rock family: Ethan Christopher Rock was born on Friday the 13th of April this year. We really don't want to make any new parents jealous, but he's been a really easy baby. He's a good sleeper and eater, he enjoys strangers, he hardly ever cries and loves to smile and giggle---especially when he's playing with his Dad.

Chris began his first semester of his Master's program in Instructional Technology at San Jose State. It works out perfectly because he's able to watch Ethan during the day and go to school at night. In his spare time, he is continuing to pursue his interests in studying Science, Japanese, and computers. He also loves playing board games. This year, we added approximately 18 new games to our already large collection. Some of Chris's favorites from those added are:

Alyssa is still working for Yahoo! as a technical writer. There have been lots of changes in management this year, but it's still a great place to work. Maybe you could blame it on the fact that she works for an Internet giant, but she's been getting more and more addicted to the web lately. It seems like every month one of her friends joins the blogosphere (THANK YOU everyone who joined this year!). So, her new favorite pastime is reading blogs using RSS feeds. She also loves chatting on Instant Messenger, buying unique Christmas presents on eBay, and finding old friends on Facebook and other social networking sites. She's definitely "wired in."

With Ethan around, Alyssa doesn't get out to the movie theater as often as she used to, but this year she enjoyed the following new releases:
