I pulled out my guitar one Sunday and started playing. Ethan decided to sing along, so I grabbed the camera.

While Chris was trimming the grass, Ethan said, "Ouch! You're hurting the grass!" Chris: "Do you want to try?" Ethan: "YES!"

I used to sing this to him all the time, but didn't realize that he was picking it up.

I put this song on a mix and it came up in the car. Ethan started laughing! He really likes the beginning of the song. When we were playing in the car today, it came on and he started singing along. So cute!

Since seeing the rocket show at the planetarium, Ethan started saying 5-4-3-2-1-Blast off! Uncle Clayton taught him about saying "ignition" so I found a video of a shuttle launch for him to see what Clayton was talking about. He loves it.

He just started doing this one day so we named it and encouraged it. Now he does it whenever we say, "Do the twist Alex!"

What is this thing called snow?

We bought Alex his first book at the Museum of Ancient History. He enjoys manipulating it, but doesn't get the idea of books yet. Maybe we need to start reading to him more.

Ethan playing at the Museum of Ancient History (or as he calls it, the "Dinosaur house"). At the end there's a couple of sandboxes that kids can dig in to find dinosaur bones. Ethan, however, just plays in the sand.

One of Ethan's favorite things about the Dinosaur Museum is the dark room full of stars. So we bought him some stars to stick on his ceiling. Of course, Chris wouldn't be satisfied unless the stars were somewhat accurate, so we bought a set that had constellation stencils. Here's the constellation Orion.

This is what we found on our walk to the park. Yikes! Ethan was fascinated (so was Chris). Chris debating on whether he should kill it or not (predators are an important part of a food web) but this particular predator is potentially dangerous to people so.... squish.

We're eating at Winger's tonight. Ethan is loving the popcorn.

Chris: "Ethan, what's that?" (expecting 'dinosaur')

I think he got this from a dinosaur book he has, but I've never really quizzed him on this or anything. I'm amazed by how much this kid absorbs and remembers.
